Doors killing my battery?
« on: 15 January 2009, 10:28 »
Right just got the GTI back from having a electrical fault looked into.
A while back some might remember the wife loosing our only key and with that key we had to lock the car manually. But when we sorted out a new key it got reprogrammed etc to the car so started locking the car with the key fob.
And recently i.e from around the time the new key fob has been in use the cars battery has been getting drained?
Well I picked the car up today from the garage and apparently it's the doors when the key fob it used?
So have to use the key manually? As one off the doors is shorting the battery?
Just wondering if anyone's had a similar problem? Just got to wait a few days and hope the cars sorted now fingers crossed.
