remove the bottom of the airbox you will see a trumpet shaped piece where air is sucked inb at the front of the airbox remove this (resonater) then drill some holes I did 20mm along the inner wing side of the airbox,fit a K+N panel filter and bobs your uncle job done and sounds a treat when given some stick.. :)

When i bought mine it already had a cut out instead of holes. The inner wing was cut aswell. Panel filter H&R, i think was fitted. I must say over 4k rpm its sounds very nice, also been told this by various people.

Well worth it for the sound alone, btw mines a 2.0 16v.

Nah, as far as im aware its a 9a from a passat, lovely engine.
