wiper motor
« on: 11 January 2009, 21:39 »
hi all

i put a post on here a couple of months ago about my wipers not working properly.i was told to buy a mk2 wiper motor and stick that one in its place. so i bought a mk2 wiper motor but it seems that it is not a straight swap. is there any modification that i need to do in order to make it fit?

cheers

i cut off the connector from a scrapped mk2 along with the actual motor, so all i had to do was cut and recrimp the mk1 wiring to the mk2 connector. job done. if you havent got the mk2 connector, then i dont know how you'll  do it sorry mate.

i have seen info on this iirc it involved a little trimming of the mk2 motor to make it fit the linkage?  cant really recall.  all i know is my mk2 motor bolted straight on my 83 cab no bother at all!
