Ok guys,you"ve always been very helpful in the past let"s try this challenge!! As it"s not possible to get LED style headlamps for the golf mk4 i"ve managed to blag from a very nice rep which visits me at work a pair of LED (501 style) sidelight bulbs for my golf,today having a spare half hour i thought "i know i"ll fit those bulbs" silly me!!!! What an absoulote arse they are to get to never mind to try and fit!! An hour later and i gave up,i managed to remove all relevent covers and multiplugs,i could see the bulbs but couldn"t NO way get them out,there are more bloody wires in a vw headlamp than the telelphone exchange!! The ever helpful haynes book makes it sould so easy but they seemed to favour removing the bumper and light unit,surely this would be overkill to replace a simple bulb!! Does anybody know an easy way or have had the pleasure in tackling the same chore?!?
