Just the bottom block isn't it?

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Use ADY/Sharan Engine, b different.
Compression ratio is special.
I had a 2e block on of my old Mk2s, was cool but a little thirsty
Sorry to jack your thread

Is there any advantage to using a 2e/AGG bottom end compared to a bored out 1.8?
:)

Alllllllso is there a rough figure of the torque increase by adding a 2.0 bottom end?

PB dizzy is too thin (smaller diameter) so wont fit in the hole properly. You can make up a spacer ring to make it sit in the hole nice (used to be able to buy them from somewhere) but easier to just fit 2e dizzy.

I have recently done a 2e bottom end conversion with schrick 276 cam and slightly modded head, defo has more grunt but tbh for the money it's cost me to build i was expecting more and wouldnt bother doing it again. But i needed an engine and quick for a trip to the ring.

Money is now being saved for 20vt conversion only a few months after doing the 2e stuff  :undecided:

agg dizzy also only gives 1 pulse per revolution,   so would only fire one cylinder
all the VW's have gone bar 1.
