Lowering
« on: 16 June 2004, 22:42 »
I'm looking to lower my 1.3 Golf, however I have a few questions (I've phoned up a few local garages but I've just been even more confused  ???)  I've got some 15'' BBS RA wheels and standard suspension/springs at the moment.

I've been told that GTI Golfs sit 20mm lower than standard Golfs, and so I assume that 40mm lowering springs for a GTI would drop my car 60mm?  My question is is this too much for just springs/dampeners or will I need to do something else?  Any advice at all is much appreciated and if anyone can correct me if I'm wrong that'd also be great :)

Thanks

Also sorry if I'm asking questions that have been answered a hundred times, I just don't want to wreck my pride and joy  ;)

Do you think 60mm would be too much considering I also want to be able to get mates in the back without rubbing on the tyres?   :P
