Hmmmm not slow, depends what you are compairing to?, for me they are about as slow as mk 3 8v's, but i dont really think mk 2 or mk 3 16v's are fast either.. still love them all tho! :cool:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

i think we are going off subject here. i was just trying to convey the point tortoises arent as slow as everyone makes out. they get alot of bad press


oh and my 8v isnt slow ..................unless the mrs is driving it  :lipsrsealed:

0-60 for a 1.8T Mk4 is about 8 seconds dead. The 10 second stat is for the non-turbo.
