As far as I'm aware Tornado red is just base coat and laquer.  I used Autoglym Super Resin Polish, then three coats of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection - leaving 1 hour between coats and then 3 coats of Dodo Juice.  Last time it got Autoglymed was August ready for winter.  At the same time I used Autoglym Instant Tar Remover, then Super Resin Polish and some Meguiars 3rd Step Wax for the wheels with Autoglym Alloy wheel sealent on top, since then everytime I wash the car the brake dust just runs off the wheel, although nearer springI will be investing in some Jetseal 109 sealent - better than Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection and some Poor boys wheel sealent - extra protection for the Pescara's.

My 100th post too !! Been here for ages - but read more than I type if you know what I mean !!

Regards,

Gareth

Banana armour is just awesome for a boutique product - doesn't last that long 1 month max - but oh my god ! The shine !! I challenge anyone to find a better wax for a ref ED30 under £35. I'll post some better pics of the shine when I get back to my house shortly in addition to some red ED30 dodo detailing threads from other forums.

I use the Aqua wax aswell Phil but you just have to watch because it can sometimes leave streaky marks

Am quite lucky the cars only used 2 days at the weekend at most just now and gets washed using the two bucket method then dried and put back in the garage   The 1.7dti Combo is my daily weapon of choice  lol

Thank you all for the kind comments - Phil, here is the link to the best deal on eBay for Banana Armour - you'll love it. Had the tub since August have applied 3 coats initially and then a coat or two a fortnight since, done my brothers S3 too and only used 1/4 of the tub  at the same time get some decent applicators such as these :-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DoDo-Juice-Banana-Armour-Hard-Wax-250ml_W0QQitemZ260312131598QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item260312131598&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A15%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

With this product - less is more - spread as thin as possible allow to cure and buff - AMAZING stuff. Not the most durable though.

Here's a link to a thread on a Tornado Red ED30 detail on Dodo forums, nice work :-

Couldn't resist adding this pic - first time I ever greeted my Edition 30, oh what a day - still with the transport blocks in etc ....

I'll post some more pics of my most recent detail shortly.

Regards,

Gareth
