Service packs and ed 30?
« on: 02 January 2009, 10:25 »
I am looking at an 08 ed 30 (privately) which comes with the remaining balance of a 3 service pack
As I'm not particularly clued up on this option can someone confirm that they are transferable between owners? How do they work, do I simply pop down to any VW dealer and it will be free to service? The current owner has told me this pack is worth £600, is this also correct?

Also, is there anything else I should be looking out for/known problems with the ed 30's?

Many thanks in advance and a happy new year

It is transferable.

You just pop into VW dealer every time it flashes up for a service on your dashboard (which should be every 10K or 1 year, whichever occurs 1st) and they'll have it on their system. The 1st 3 services (so 30K or 3 years) are included in the service pack.

It was £225 when I bought my car (not £600!).

Though maybe if you were to pay for the three services out of your own pocket it would cost you 600?
