R32UK not seen you about where abouts do you live, I work just up from D M Keiths so I took it there for my 60k mile service cost me £225 with the brake fluid change which was cheaper than IVC,  I was talking to George at DM Keiths and he was saying that they where the cheapest around and would price match any one within reason,  he also said IVC where not much cheaper than VW!!

60k mile service:
VW £322
IVC £185
D M Keiths £180 + £40 brake fluid change 2 year only
Cam belt and Tensioners plus water pump
VW £400+
IVC £340
D M Keiths £309

Spoke to DM keith and they wanted £193... but in the end decided to stick with VW. Went into IVC a few months back, but got the feeling the lady behind the counter didnt know what she was talking about so havent been back since.

Where abouts do you work, as Im constantly up and down hunslet road/ lower bridge road is it?? I live in north leeds so you might see me flying round the ring road from time to time too.

I work down at the container base just off the m621, D M Keiths actually cleaned the car better than Richard Alexanders did aswell, they dryed it off instead of leaving it to dry and get water marks all over the place,

Ill keep an eye out mate although most of my driving is late on cos I work nights.

Ahh cool I know the place.. used to drive past it a fair bit but not so much any more. Your right about the cleaning though... it had water marks all over and wasnt even cleaned properly, but was such a state when it went in I guess anything is better than it was.

So what are you driving?? Gti?? colour?? will keep an eye out for you next time Im up that way

Just had to book mine in for it's first service (12,000 miles in 18 months). I live in Reading so called Ridgeway VW and they quoted me £320 + £85 for brake fluid change!!!! £320 for a freekin oil change! I just laughed and said no thanks.. I then called Martins VW in Farnham and spoke to a nice chap in the servicing department who advised me that I might as well wait the 6 months and get the BF change done later, and they only charge £62 for it... and the cost of the long life service is only £170 inc VAT as well.

The difference in price is ridiculous so I called Ridgeway back to tell them.. and they immediately offered to price match Martins. So it just goes to show how much they take the pi$$ and assume you will just drop your trousers, bend over and take it!

How do you work that out Alan it resembles a gti but I tried to take it away from been a look a like thats why the strip at the front is white (soon to be black)

I just paid £187 for first long life service. It might help to get them to price match.

Yep.. the elland road one. If they say thats mighty cheap just tell them that they did mine for that price last week
