Edition 30
« on: 30 December 2008, 10:42 »
Hi all,

Been lurking for a while. Great site by the way much busier than tyresmokes gti forum
Having recently sold my Clio V6 I'm on the lookout for an edition 30, DSG

Does anyone have a list of what the ed 30 came with as standard? (i.e mfsw, auto dip rear mirrior? etc) and what options were available?
Also what are the service intervals?

Many thanks in advance

Welcome ! I drove past one of them V6 Clios the other day actually, don't see many about, awesome (if not a little mental) car them.

I'm pretty sure if you go on the VW website and pretend to price up a brand new GTI (to my knowledge the only thing different in the ED is colour coded bumpers, pescara alloy wheels and KO4 turbo along with real minor stuff) it then gives you the list of options you can tick. I can tell you now mfsw isn't standard but auto dip rear mirror is.

10,000 miles on time and distance service, further on long-life servicing.

Me, I have a T&D service but use Long Life Oil.
Bye Bye Edition 30

You can have Time and distance(T&D) or variable.  The T&D is as it says 10k or 12months, the variable, the cars ECU monitors the condition of the oil and adjusts the intervals accordingly. This means you could potentially go 2 years(20K)  between services if you do a lot of motorway miles etc which is kinder on the oil. Personally I always have mine set to T&D and use the longlife oil just to be on the safe side with a performance engine :smiley:HTH

They only made 356 Clio V6's (mk2) and mine was one of 36 in Titanium silver and also one of the last made. It was a great car, I'd originally planned on keeping it for ever but my lifestyle changed completely and it became impractical as a daily driver and hence the reason I sold it. As a second car for weekend/special occasions not much comes close but when used everyday it becomes slightly uncomfortable and at times just bloody annoying.

Tried going onto VW and speccing a new one but the MK5's have been replaced with the MK6..... don't suppose nayone has a list pretty please? For instance does high line come as standard and is there even any such thing?

Many thanks
