Has any group actually tested to see if the atmospheric dump valve harms the engine in any way? I trust that Forge wouldn't make something harmful to the engine, but I'm still curious.

Its all just personal opinion but when I hear a Golf do a masssive 'WAAA TIIIISSSHHH' I cringe a bit as they just sound like a silly Scooby or Skyline.

Also Tunning Works and Ruden ARE closed over the xmas period so I wont be getting it put in till the new year :(

Forge do offer an adjustable one that lets you set how much is recirculated and how much is dumped. So it can set the volume of TSHHH you want

if its anything like the Forge Split-R that they do for the MKIV 1.8T engines then its a pile of poop and causes more running issues than the standard one

I've just read the sticky on the mk4 forums about the dump valve and the diverter valve and it makes much more sense to me now . While I can't be sure, but I think that the 2.0T FSI engine also measures both before and after so not using a diverter valve could cause problems. Great info in those posts .
