Anyone who has a Forge DV please . .

You don't really need ramps, you can do it from underneath.  I've done several with just a trolly jack and an axle stand for safety backup.

How did it take you to swap the old one for the new one?

Do you mean how long?

The physical part of changing the valve doesn't take long at all, maybe 10 mins.  The tap off for the vacuum is a bit of a ball ache but that's from the top so easy access.

So how did VW get 2 hours? Fecking hate dealers sometimes. Going to give these guys a call from Croydon in a sec when they open. I just want it to be fitted and working, this is the last thing I need to do to my car (apart from alloy refurb). Serviced, rempaed, cleaned, just need this poxy valve in now

Just got a text from Ben saying AMD will do it for 1 hours labour @ £60. If I go and your not doing anything on Saturday by all means come join us Tim, lots of nice toys there

VW say 2 hours to swap the DV - the standard one is only a matter of undoing 3 bolts - not sure where they make up the rest of the time.

As for the Forge, like been said its easy enough but the bit under the car needs a little more due to feeding the new pipe to it and then a little work on top fitting the 3 way valve - not difficult though.  You could even fit the valve before hand so its ready - just leave it blocked off.

You can then use another take off from the valve for a boost gauge

I want a boost gauge too lol . . .  Ithink Im just going to take it to AMD and get them to stick a boost gauge in aswell. My wallet has taken the biggest beating of its life this month
