Twin light grill to a single light grill?
« on: 17 December 2008, 16:36 »
My mk2 driver has a twin headlight grill, but im going to change it to a single light grill. But what happens when you get rid of the spot lights?? will my headlights still give me main beam? or do i need new lights?

Thanks
Guy

Your headlights will be 'fine' - they provide dip and main light.  The inner lights are 'spot lights' that boost the light output on main.

If you haven't fitted a relay set up to boost the power I suggest you do so before removing the inner spots.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

I fitted my single light grill - made the car look lower and meaner, but on dark winter nights having 4 lights was much better for me. I uprated my loom and it made a world of difference, so heavily recommended! On Matt;s Ryder MK2 project he cleaned out his headlights with soapy water and they looked like new, so do that too.
