tis true, but a real ball ache to get big fat mates out. I have big fat mates. They are not allowed to eat in the car though. Or smoke. Or drink. I have made cards similar to those you find on aeroplanes with instructions, dead funny.

Ditto - I give friends and family lifts, so it makes things easier in this respect.

Hahahahaha I say something similar - no food/drink/smoke/drugs in the car. I went ballistic when a mate left an empty beer bottle in the car. And that was a six-year old mk4 fezza at the time!

LoL  ... and then after buying your Passat, you'd quickly change back to a 5dr Gti ... just like Phil Mcavity

....If I wanted a 2-door sports car I'd buy a previously used Porsche or the new Audi TT-RS when it comes out.

Offering the GTI as a 5-door is what makes it such a good allrounder. But it's great that we all have the option of both 3 or 5 door. I actually prefer the 5-door for looks. A highly modified Scirocco might be a better 2-door option for the platform. But ETTO.

I've voted 5 dr...purely because of the added practicality. The front doors are shorter and lighter than the ones in the 3 door and this means you can actually reach the B pillar and the seatbelts without contorting yourself silly.
