Can anyone confirm...
« on: 16 December 2008, 13:45 »
I've done a bit of searching and think this is the problem, can anyone confirm:

It seems to be mainly when im reversing and turing at the same time, I can here a crunching sound coming from the front passenger side wheel.

It sounds like I'm driving over a plastic bottle. Is this the wheel bearing giving up?

My steering also "squeeks" when turing, esp when i first get in the car...is this linked to the wheel bearing? (I dont have pas - 90 spec car)

Cheers

My guess would be a combo of top-mounts and wheel bearing. Ben

It could be a family of field mice sheltering from the cold in your wheel arches.  The crunching noise could come from the bones of the dead baby mice as they get caught in your running gear.

Merry Christmas

I replaced the top mounts (with g60's) a couple of months ago when i put the new sus on.
