Hmm, i have a question that is kind of related to this sort of thing...

Does DSG let you brake and accelerate at the same time, i.e. one may use this during trail braking...

Just asking because on the Audi S8 that I drove a few months back, everytime the brake was applied when still applying throttle, it would cut the throttle completely.

Cheers..

It is one or the other I'm afraid. They are electronically controlled and therefore linked to each other.

One reason to chose the manual over DSG then, it would do my head in not being able to left foot brake.

I believe - even in a manual - it's an electronic throttle which disengages if you use the brake. :nerd:

Just goes to prove modern cars suck! Looks like when I get my mits on an Edition 30 (Probably in 2020) I'll have to retro fit a cable throttle and unplug the ABS.

Box doesnt give up the ghost, its in vw's owners handbook on how to use it. They are not gonna print something that makes part of the car self distruct by using that feature.
Your more likely to blow a DSG Box by shoving too much torque if your Remap torque is too great and cause damage to its clutches.

Enjoy it, thats what its there for, the rare occasion you can use it safely, its not gonna break
