Launch control..

I've had the car a week so don't take the pi55, is there a launch control system on the DSG or not ???????   :nerd:

Does DSG let you brake and accelerate at the same time, i.e. one may use this during trail braking...

Just asking because on the Audi S8 that I drove a few months back, everytime the brake was applied when still applying throttle, it would cut the throttle completely.

It is one or the other I'm afraid. They are electronically controlled and therefore linked to each other. :smiley:

To the sub-heading 'The Launch Control Programme enables maximum acceleration', they should also add the line 'Frequent Use of this Feature will screw up your DSG box and possibly invalidate your warranty'  :rolleyes:

BUT, they didn't, so if your GTI is still standard, you can get away with it.  Once you've remapped/modified, then you are on dodgy ground :shocked:
