Bee Sting

I have a 1.3 as you probably all know by now!! Anyway, therefore it hasn't got yhe beesting ariel on the back of the roof. How easy is it to fit one? I dont necesarily mean actually fitting IT but like the wiring etc...   :)

buy the ariel, drill the hole needed in the roof, have to drop ur roof lining at back for this, once the hole is drilled clean the inside so u have a good earthing point for the ariel, run ur cable down one side of the car and drop it down behind ur dash and up to ur stereo.
hope this helps

It sort of helps. The bit i'm unsure about is how to actually feed the cable into the dash?? A while back i tried to trace the interior light wiring, but couldn't see where it went, so i wonder how the hell i can put some wire throughh the roof, then where do i go? ???

hide the wire behind the A pillar cover. There's a screw holding it at the top and then it just pulls off if I remember right. thread your wires down there.

it should go along the roof and down the a pillar like dizzie said, but its a lot easier to run it along the floor and up into the dash, less trim to take off :D they come with far too much wire anyways

Yep, the ariel on a 1.3 suck, they go up about 6 foot and bend very easily. . . .

But how do i get it don to the floor in the first place?? Is it something really simple and obvious that i'm missing??!  ??? ::)

I havent even thought how i'm going to get the headlining off either... does it just pull off?

I dont think its too long and bendy, well too much, just want it to look a bit neater!! I could always get a nice long "whippy" ariel, 70's style!! ;D

im about to do this so i get better coverage for my scanner reciever, cos i never have my arial up! looks crap.

im just going to feed mine down to the floor as soon as possible and keep it in the same direction as my amp cables. The cables feed nicley up the passenger side and behind the glove box into the head unit.
