well i am not an oldie,  but i am married with 2 kids, 13 week old baby and a 2 1/2 year old, and i went from a 3 door MKV GTI to the 3 Door MKV R32 and i dont have a problem!

Saying that i did just buy a brand new mazda 6 sport as the battle bus!

and to add to the discussion, 3 door cars look wayyyyyy better than 5 door!!!..
