Anyone else heard about that gadget that is to be fitted to everyones car so as to register how many miles u hav done and on what roads,so that they can start charging u-as in pay per mile?
This wud mean the end of road tax n lower fuel prices,but its abit invasion of privacy!What us reckon,cos i don't think its that long off! :'(

aparently they'll be fitting it to all new cars when it starts and adding it to older cars when they go in for MOTs. personally it's a stupid idea cos if you can put it on you can take it off. Also imports wouldn't have them as standard so you could get away with it for 3 years until the MOT.

Thats a gud point that!But u know the government r always gettin on about older cars n their fuel emissions,so it cud just b another scam to get u to get rid!

They r goin to lose out,whether through drops in petrol sales,tourism drops or simply people goin on the dole cos they can't afford to travel to n from work!

i dont like the thought of any thing knowing where and how many miles ido!! next theyll be able to tell when youve gone over speed limit and have a fine in the post!!

yeah i live near cadwell park track, the back road from me to it is my fave if i wanna go rinsin!!! worth every drop of juice i use(always use the mk2!) but hate the thought of if some 'gadget' could tell if ya swent over 60mph!! id be banned by the time i got there and back!!!
