HELP My car won't start!!

Recently purchased a mark 1 golf gti convertible 1.8 8v on a D-plate. just changed the fuel filter(the on under the bonnet) and the car doesn't start any more! Need help ASAP

Is the fuel filter the right way round? there should be an arrow on it.

yep, iv'e tried everything. nothing seems to work. don't wanna take it to garage, it'll cost to much.

If you've put the filter in the right way round then maybe it just needs some cranking to get the fuel px up?

Could be an unpleasant job but try sucking fuel through the pipe from the tank...

You need to make sure fuel is getting through, may be one mutha of an air block or something stuck in the pipe..

Good luck..

ps. probably best not to have a cigarette for awhile afterwards

Do u mean the bit between the fuel filter and the engine?
Do you think it is the air fuel mixture or is it a more serious problem?
