Hey there im new 2 day and was wondering if anyone can help one day i left my lights on and had a flat battery and had to bump start my car and after i did that my rev counter doesnt work and my clock shows a mumbled up image now my MFA has stopped i used to be able to go through the features on my MFA but it seems to have stopped now since i bumped my car any ideas please as its really annoying me.
Also have i paid a good price for a set of BBS Split rims 15" which have just been referbished with tyres they are mirror polished i paid ?500.00 what u reckon?

Tried resetting the MFA by the battery?

give it a go then let us know ;)

this problem has also happened to me - how do you reset the mfa?

Just take the terminals off your battery, leave for a few seconds and reconnect, this should give the MFA a boot.  :)

Or you could just take the clock/radio/interior light fuse out instead.  But if you prefer to go under your bonnet disconnecting the battery will work too  ;)

The same thing has happened to my new golf, knew it when I bought it but still thought it was a good buy. The rev counter does sometimes blip and the water temp light flashes at the same time.
I was going to get a clever auto lectrician a mate knows to look at it but has anyone done any of the above checks to see if they work.
I hope so as it wouldn't cost  ;D

Exactly the same happens with mine from time to time.....instruments come to life briefly and then die again grrrr

Sorry i thought id sent a reply sorry bout that!

Yes it did fix the problem just took the tereminals off the battery for about 30 seconds then put them back on and its all sorted now!

Nice one mate cheers

Now i can play with the MFA to my hearts content nice one!

I beleive it did as he then started a thread thanking Blue MK2 for his initial advice. Give it a try anyway, it's only taking a fuse our or disconnecting the battery  ;D
