Yessir, it's the centre that completely let's it down for me. But also the less than tactile nature of the plastics. Seat made a conscious and hard business descision in this area, I would love to see the meeting minutes  all down to costs but speaking personally and personally speaking it's the dash I see more of than the outsides, therefore I just had to take my monies elsewhere.....perhapsa a focus group in espania said it was ok?......el muppetoes.  :lipsrsealed:

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

I've been looking at the audi s3 as a replacement for my gti.  Im not 100% on the looks but the interior and 4 wheel drive make it up for me.  I also looked at the cupra as it seemed like such a bargain but as soon as i opened the door i immediately closed it.  I'm not spending that amount of money on such a low rent interior.  If it was a kia or hyundai at korean prices i could accept it, but i could never make the step back to the leons interior, its a step backwards.

Also worth noting, every comparison ive read of the cupra has always placed it behind the gti stating the ride is too hard and it doesnt handle as well.  Evo and top gear mag both said the same and top gear mag said the octavia and leon had cheaper suspension/steering components hence them not being as good to drive???

yeah i dont think the dash is that bad tbh, seats are nice and you get good value for money which in these times is what its all about

my mates has the sat nav, blue tooth, dual climate and shed loads more, cost him alot less than a standard tdi golf. Not keen on the looks still but he loves it

I think the Cupra is an awesome car for the money and I nearly bought zenith grey one when they frst came out but not get my head around owning a seat! I wish my ed30 had came standard with the Cupra/R32 brakes!

Are the interior dimensions the same like the A3 and Golf. If so you could drop a VW or Audi interior into one. Probably not worth doing right now as the cars are relatively new, but when they start getting on a bit it could be an option. Seen enough of both cars being broken for their to be enough parts knocking about in the future.
