The business end is G2 architecture, the bit behind the firewall is Polo.

Can you explain that a bit more?
I've tried one of these cars some years ago, it was a great little motor, but i decided against as the build quality was a bit naff.
The main dealer said it was effectively a rebadged polo, this and other sources on the net have confirmed this.

Its a Polo chassis with a Golf subframe bolted to it. (Polo's never had a full sub-frame like the Golfs)

suspension is all Polo, brakes are Golf, rear beam is Golf too.

It's all VAG parts bin anyhow.

yeh bit like my caddy van has a polo front end so i could swap a seat ibiza curpa front end onto it it just bolts on, tis kinds cool how a lot of things are interchangable  :cool:

i'm tempted to buy a mk3 vr6 auto just to wind him up
