cheers guys i was thinking that maybe a g60 head was the equivalent of a ported head but seems like it is not
as for porting mine i use car daily so want it to remain drivable (if you get what i mean) so would i be better off just matching ports to manifold or going for it and have a full on porting session
i have read a write up on club gti a bit ago but dont know if it was intended for a race/track or road car hence question about how much to port
