LOL, i thought this, probably the same car underneath

It IS the same car underneath.  Identical floopan/chassis, identical firewall, identical front subframe and suspension (apart from the electric gubbins), identical rear subframe and suspension.  :nerd:

Which is why I stated in an earlier thread that it isn't actually a Mk"6" at all, just a Mk"5.5".

so this actually would work??

Maybe, but the remainder of the bodyshell has been revised, so they might not line up, and I reckon the inner wings and front longitudinal members will be modified to take the new engine.

One of the car mags stated that the dash has exactly the same mounting points so you could stick that in too.

And how would the "mags" know that?  Only serious engineering journals would know about stuff like that!

"Guide" is the appropriate word to consider,  and in todays' economic climate, I stronly suggest that all the figures in Glasses and the likes will have taken a serious dip.

Nope.. I like it too. Think the interior is much improved (looks wise) and the subtle styling is just my cuppa!

T_T will the 3.2 lump still fit in the MK6??? I am guessing it will....

It will but i am sure i read that VW will drop the 3.2 unit due to emissions reasons !

the 3.6 Porsche/VW unit willl be a direct replacement i think ??

failing that the I5 TT 2.5 Audi/vw developed unit.
