new mini - ipod adapter
« on: 18 September 2008, 20:07 »
dudes

a friend of mine has a standard mini on an 06 plate and asked how difficult it would be to get a compatible ipod adapter to fit the car properly... not one of those fm transmitter types but a proper dooberry

any ideas... I don't know anything much about minis but thought one of you clever bods might... would ask in a mini forum but don't want to go through the hassle of signing up and trawling the net and wouldn't know which one to ask in anyway

TIA

I think there would need to be provision for an auxillary input, not necessarily at the front, even at the back, if not, then perhaps the only option would be to fit a different head unit.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

without knowing which model h/u you have in the mini i cannot be 100% correct but this is for the factory cd player in the mini
http://www.connects2.com/c2prodpic.aspx?pid=images/prodimages/prodview/CTABMIPOD009.jpg
this gives full ipod control from the h/u and charging
there are 2 different types available but i would need to know which plug you have in the back of the mini stereo it will be a 17 pin bmw iso or a 40 pin bmw iso
taking the stereo out is a bit of a mission you need to remove the centre console and arms and the driver side of the dash needs to be removed
i can supply this if you want it pm me for a price
