rumbling noise?????

Hi all my car has developed a rumbling noise near the alternator area.I think its the water pump but am a bit unsure. any ideas and is the pump easy to change on an agg engine

Sounds like the water pump but look into the alternator first.

its a relativly simple job,  afternoons work, change the thermostat while your at it.  means removing the alternator brackets etc.. something i would put off untill the last minute because its fiddly but yea..  deffo a DIY job if you confident with a set of spanners.

i need it for work at 2 tommorrow so gonna have to shift my ass.How is it best accessed and do i need to remove anything to make life easier

jack it up and remove the driver side wheel remove the AUX belts etc...   you will need coolent as well,  they can be a pain to bleed so set a day aside for it.

It was the water pump, the bearings had gone and also the fins on the back were worn funny. Bit of a pain but sounds great now
