Last week Friday was quite a stressful day as my 8v judders intermittently each time I got on the road and stalls as well at traffic lights and junctions. And weather conditions was dry everyday last week so I can't be damp a factor causing the problem.

This was getting dangerous at times so I took car to a local mechanic to check what could be the problem. I call the mechanic and he told me over the phone that problem is the result of a low compression on cylinder 3 and 4. He says it will cost ?700-?800 to fix. My heart was broken instantly. Got to lose my babe cos can't afford to do it.

But check this out ....when I picked the car and drove it back home, I never experienced any judder or stalling during the 9 mile journey. Car was off the road since Saturday as I had to borrow another car for work this week and think about my options. Yesterday I took the car out for a 15mins runs. I did put my foot down and the ride was superb. No juddering no stalling.

I'm getting a second option on Saturday and will put the car up for a quick sale. I have endured a lot of frustration, heartache and stress. I just love the GTI golf but i Got To Incarcerate my passion for gti golfs for now, my finances dictates so. However I still gonna hang around this forum. I'm not going to leave cos this is where my heart is.

Been so miserable last week end and the whole of this week :(. I'm drained mentally, physically and spiritually. Driving the my gti puts a smile on my face and it makes me happy. Now I feel miserable because I can't get that pleasure elsewhere. Ah well....I got to be strong and positive.

I hope to put pics on site later next week just in case anyone is interested in  the car for a new project.

Thanks guys.

Where about is the relay(ECU), please? I hope to flick through the relays in an attempt to keep my car.
I hear it could be the source of the juddering problem with my 8v.

Someone really keen to buy the car for 500 pounds tonite despite the terrible juddering and stalling probs. I do want to get rid of it cos of the problems but deep down I want to keep it but will cost more money to get it resolved. Car been off the road for 3 weeks now.

Thanks.
