I would be tempted to go with the latter. Good handling with a bit of spannering

Think I will probably go with 8inch width on the wheels.
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

might need to go with g60 arches if you go widetrack + 8J!  do a search on clubgti for widetrack threads started by andy947, he has wide/low offset + passat widetrack on his MK2, wide as fcuk!

haha wicked, yeah I am getting g60 arches before the wheels go on anyway. So basically I need to deal with some of the metal under these?

its a case of suck it & see! real g60s had a section of the arch lip cut away from the factory, with 2 squre holes for a pair o hooks on the G60 arches to slot into as there is no lip for the top rivets.  Most people just chop the hooks off and use the rest of the rivets to secure the arches without issues.
