Inspiration needed
« on: 02 May 2008, 15:16 »
Hi everyone, just going to start an install in my mk4 gti ,i'm looking for a bit of inspiration its the first time i've ever done a golf install. Was wondering if anyone has any pictures or suggestions for me. I've been installing sytems for about 15 years now but have run out of ideas to be different!!
The equipment i'm intending using is :- Alpine cd/mp3 , alpine alpine amp to power front components, phoenix gold m50 amp to power subs(capable of 0.5ohm loads) , audiocontrol overdrive, audiocontrol 2xs crossover , dls reference series components for front and 2x alpine 12" subs, all to be wired with high quality autoleads cables and gold plated connectors/fusebox/battery terminals.
I prefer an old skool style of install, not sure that fibreglass installs look right in older cars.

Hopefully someone will be able to inspire me,
                                                    Cheers guys and girls

stealth boxes in each wheel arch,

then maybe fibre glass a part for the back of the seats for amps to sit on??

It a start, depends how much time/effort you want to put in and how fancy you want. Oh and if you want any boot space.
