Oil Pressure Switch
« on: 09 March 2008, 23:20 »
Hi All!

Maybe bit of a daft question, but hoping someone might be able to help.

Oil pressure light and siren come on at random intervals when driving car; usually blipping throttle clears it again.  Have checked oil level and all seems OK.

Have been led to believe may be oil pressure switch.  However, local part place has twol isted for my car, 1.8 mk3, engine type AAM, with different pressure settings.

Can ayone advise which is the correct switch for the AAM engine?

Thanks in advance!

Worst case, knackerd bottom end, or worn out oil pump,  more likely...  your pressure switch or another similar fault on the electrical system.
