i have had problems with my drivers door,

firstly the lock mechanism in the door is broken, the little latch keeps dropping so when i shut the door it just hits the catch,

also on cold morning i put my key in the lock and it just wont turn were it has frozen shut,

anyone know how to fit a new lock mechanism in the door???

Yeah mate, when its cold my drivers door wont open. Have to get in the passenger door and when i get to work its fine. I use a car cover when its cold. seems to help.

Hope this helps

Cheers Kit

Haha! Had the same problem over the weekend! Had washed the car & the drivers door wouldn't budge, central locking wouldn't pop until it had warmed up!!

Ok now though as it's finally dried out.

Locks sticking is usually caused by broken door hinges on 3dr cars. Bet the striker is cream crackered too. WD40 is no good to lube it, it's good for freeing it up and cleaning it but you need some proper grease spray in there
