Guys, I went to look at it, and it looks completely legit!  The car's been serviced every single year, so mileage proved.  The last service way July 07 when it had a new cam belt and 4 new tyres put into it!!

I just bought it!   I didn't haggle on price because it was plainly obvious it was going to sell, and he's MOT'ing it for me for free.

£400 deposit, then the rest when I pick it up when my loan comes through and I've sorted insurance out.

Good man you wont be disappointed!!

Well I've just been told by someone I paid too much for it, some people   I think it was a good price considering the condition.

I've got to give a big thanks to everyone that's helped me out!  I only joined yesterday but have learnt so much already, enough to go out and get a lovely Golf!

I'm sure I'll be pestering more once I have the car and want to start doing things to it

I dunno it's useful or not, but the engine code is:  AGU111382.  What can that tell me?

God I've SO many things to buy for the car once it's come.  Rear spoiler, front valance, possibly skirts.  Then there's new pedals, gearknob, and I need to sort out the minging wood effect dash bit in the middle.  Then there's the dump valve, and possibly a re-map.  I'm thinking maybe Awesome up in Manchester for that.

Anyone know what VW have to say about re-maps when you go for a service?
