accelarator cable has come off back of accelerator pedal

is this hard to put back on iv looked for the cable and if anything it looks akward.you dont need to take dash or anything out do you? wb asap thanks

This happened to me, twice in a week. Fiddly job to put back on but you only need remove the undercover. I ended up using wire locking to keep the damn thing in place after the last time. In heavy but moving traffic, in the outside lane, raining, at daybreak heading into Madrid. Bit of a dodgem car ride coast to the side.

ok got cable back on and car is now revving to 3000rpm by its self will greasiing cable help?

Check where the cable disapears through the bulkhead. Sounds like something has hooked up.
Or the reason why it came off in the first place may be because it has started to seize. New one called for me thinks. You can try lubing it, but as the sheath is teflon lined, use only silicone grease. I don't think it will last long though as the inner cable will have carved itself a nice little channel in the lining and that is where it will be sticking.
