VW Golf Clipper Karmann Cabriolet
« on: 28 August 2007, 18:41 »
Hi all,

I need some advice.

I've seen a VW Golf Mk2 Clipper Karmann for £1500 ono.

Its got years MOT a couple months tax. Its automatic. The body looks sound and the engine seems ok? Its generally a nice looking car that needs a really good clean from what I can see.

However, the mileage is 115000 (pretty high eh?) and this is what puts me off to be honest.

I'd like your opinion on the price, mileage and also anything else I should look out for before purchasing that I may not have thought about. Does £1500 seem like a reasonable amount for a car this old? I very new to all this and wouldnt normally purchase a car this old ( J Reg).

Anyway, if you provide me with your thoughts and any helpful tips it would be very much welcome.

Nice to meet you all! Hope to be a regular on the forum once I finally purchase my golf.

Many thanks!
