Mk3 Golf rear speaker wiring?
« on: 26 October 2007, 00:46 »
Hi im new to this website, here's my situation...

Basically i have a Mk3 golf rolling stones edition N reg and there are no speakers in the back

I want to wire up 2 Vibe 6x9's in my back shelf but as there are no speakers in the back there is no speaker cable for me to connect them to i think unless they are hidden somewhere?

If i need to wire up the 6x9's from the head unit what is the best way for me to do this? and what cable should i use? if im running new cable through the car then i dont really wanna put standard cable in i may aswell put some better stuff in init?

Im just wondering how i would go about connecting this speaker wire to the wiring harnerss aswell?

Also should i disconnect the speakers in the dashboard? becuase my head unit is only 50 x 4 watts per channel if i have 6 speakers wont that make it less per channel because i already have after market speaker in the doors. I dont really mind if i have no speakers in the dash aslong as the door speakers work and the 6x9's in the back.

When i do fade to rear on my headunit aswell nothin plays obviously but would i need to connect the 6x9's in the correct place for them to work when i do fade to rear?

Sorry for the long post im not an expert with this wiring stuff and i need some help lol!

Many Thanks.
