What sort of terminal on the end, square plug, spade or ring?. Is the wire insulation black or the protective covering?. Is the fuel pump running, wind the engine for a second then release the key and you should hear the pump buzzing for a second or two.
Steve.

The only thing I can think of is that it is the earth wire that goes on the rear stud on the cam cover. This should not stop it from running tho. Retime engine at tdc no1, check cam timing mark, unclip dist cap and make sure the rotor arm is pointing the same way as the notch in dist body. #1 ht lead should correspond with this possition and recheck the firing order. If you have fuel, spark and the timing and firing order are ok, something should happen :-\Steve.
