wantmygti, the bodyshop will be using plasic primer adhesive which will bond the paint and wont flake off, also am worried about sun bleach on black plastic which normally faids after a few yrs so thats why im taking steps now to stop it. Paintwork is guareeteed for 3 years by my bodyshop.

Good luck! I await pictures....

agree with everything you say illyan, but dont agree with it p1ssing all over the standard gti when a simple laptime should prove if its much quicker, but long and short mate, is that it isnt, and proved it with racing against that ford focus ST. The standard Gti is only 0.3 second slower to 60 or 0.1 faster then one with DSG, and even if they were tested as new models with those times and the engines wernt loser, then the amount of peeps been tested on different GTI's going quicker to 60mph then book times, so i dont agree in your comment.
I dont follow if a cars that much quicker, there split hairs difference in lap and sprinting to 60mph

How much NM of  torque do the 2 cars kick out of interest?????

ok torque isnt much in it
207 lbs ft on standard to 221 lbs ft on Ed30   (14lb)
or 280 Nm on standard to 300 Nm on ED 30    (20Nm)

that doesnt really make it piss on the other, only unless you improve the Amount of torque on any engine by a much greater margain.

I'm not talking about 0-60 only... i'm  looking at in-gear times and 0-120    thats when the Edition 30 comes out like a beast.

I had mine fully colour coded.  Yes, the paint is peeling on the side sills, but that is simply down to the blatant incompetence of not using ANY primer on them, never mind the specialist flexible plastic primer.

I think it looks the mutts, especially when I park it next to an identical, but not colour coded GTI.
