Unknown engine sensor

 I have found a disconnected wire behind my fuse box? it  con checks to a sensor below the ISV that is bolted to the inlet manifold bracket same sort of size shape of a oil pressure sender   wire color is brown and black  engine is 2E
any ideas

IAT?? Inlet air temp maybe - i have an ady engine so not sure mate

alarm bells rang when i read your post bud. what year is your car. sounds like its had an engine swap from agg or ady to a 2e which didnt have the air intake sensor. either that or vw have used the ady/ agg loom on the transition from the older 2e to the ady/agg. trasition took place in 1994 i think. :undecided:
