alternatives to 12inch sub

ok so previosly i have just run a 12 inch sub in the boot sounds good and all but looking to regain some space,
Think of a apir of 8inch free air subs ounted in place of the 6x4s anyone have any experience of this?

I tried that first in my other car and it was cr@p! But I was using some naff 8" speakers!

As you said 6 x 4's Im guessing you have a Mk2.
have you looked at putting a 10" sub in the well behind the rear wheel arch in the boot, usually on the offside?
There's a thread in the sticky sections above that give good ideas.

yeah i have thought about that i could get a 12 in that space but its just a bit to normal i want to do something differnt might have a look at those gensis 6x9 subs

if you have the cash then active mini subs are great, fit under the two front seats!
