Cheers Uku, thanks for asking about the bracket. I'll check back here for replies and queries.

I've just signed up and I am saddened to have missed user number 15,000 by just 2.

if the brackets aint too far away from the welded hook you could try turning the car exhaust bracket around. thats what i did with my scorpion.

no worrys m8 and welcome to the forums btw :) . ill let you know the price that magnex sell em for when they get back to me , and yes you can reverse the original bracket but it doesnt give that good a fit as ive done it before , the magnex one or similar places the backbox perfectly , ive emailed magnex with the part number of the bracket for a price.

I've purchased 2 of these in days gone by from Magnex direct and including P&P I'm sure it was around £15 each .....

I shall make a bracket up at my Local Garage. Thanks for your help!

However. The exhaust Uku kindly helped me out with is just the rear section.
I currently have a 1.6 carb'd. I'm going have to replace the front section with the GTi type which I have discovered is two sizes bigger.

I nicked a bracket off a ford escort, the one just in front of the rear beam from the model with the roundy bumpers:

Bit hard to see but was perfect for my backbox as it had a wide bracket on it for some reason.

Did you ever find that diameter reducer? My steel exhaust is doing what steel does best ... make rusty holes, it's getting louder by the day.
