ok ive got a dvd player headunit KD-DV4202 and im going to get a motorised screen unit to pair up with it , obviously ill need two din slots so want some inspiration , i was thinking of moving the heating controls down to below the ashtray and placing two units together? is this possible and what other solutions have you guys come up with? my cars a mk2 golf btw

If it was me, I'd use the DVD player headunit to feed headrest and sun visor screens - two "head units" will look a bit silly in most cars (except heffing big Caddilac Escalades or something), let alone a mk2.
Also, hook a car PC up to the video-in port, for the ultimate MP3 player and other PC goodness :)

A 7" screen fits nicely here.

Failing that why not fit both units in the lower console? You will only have to find homes for the electric window switches then if you have them that is.

found a solution.



when i get this it solves the issue by letting me put a dvd screen motorized slave unit in the top standard din , my headunit in the bottom on on piccy. and leaves room for my extra dials when i get a 20vt conversion next year :). also get to keep an ashtray , which i sadly use.
