Pierburg carbs are the worst carbs ever i hate the things ive had nothing but problems with them, i used to have an old bmw with one and a golf what a mare. Ditch it and get a webber lot easyer to work on mate....

Thanks for that chaps. I've arranged a borrow of my mum's Corsa next week so I can sort this and do the timing belt tensioner at the same time. Next job after that is the paint shop to get the passenger side blown over.
