Once you take the top bolt off, jack up the car & remove the 2 bolts holding the strut to the wheel hub. Mark it up carefully or you'll mess up the camber!
Then you'll need to get a spring compressor on it, part #10 is a slotted nut so you'll need a slotted nut tool to remove it. It is possible to remove without it though, but it makes the job much easier.
If it was me I'd do both sides, and I'd renew the front bump stops while you're there.
