my stealer is a legend! well the parts dept are... they're used to being asked odd questions by people like me so know alot of crossove rparts and even offer alternatives that they know are compatible!

The you are lucky! I have to go in there with either part number or the near exact VAG description to get what I want.
I live in the Thames Valley and the dealership is really a conveyer belt for selling and servicing fleet vehicles. The technicians dont seem to know any of the older models or the parts.

I ordered LA5U paint, and they ordered in LA5Y. !  Bandits.

They didn't know what digifant throttle switches were !

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

TwistedAspect, I went to my local VW dealer in Wakefield to enquire about the heater bypass valves. He didn't even know what I was talking about! Its going to be a long road..................

most stealerships dont have a clue cos they are used to newer models.most of the time its pointless cos you can get most parts else where at half the price.i rang mine for a price on a piston and they wanted £130 plus vat!! they can fook off!!lol
the lad in the parts is pretty cool hes done quite a few conversions and such like but he wasnt prepared to give any discount sod that!
