Lol  was it a dream a standard mk2 16v will never do 150mph unless it is chained to the back of a real sports car
yes I have tried many valvers out and so have my mates I am not a 14 year old dreamer who looks at the 160 mph speedo and says wow thats phat it can do 160 unlike you it seems

Like I say where are the rest of the 16v owners off here backing you up ? they wont cause it cant  the previous owner of our valver blew it up at 135 as thats all it could do and he was trieing for too long hence killing it Lol

and why do real sports cars capable of 150+ cost 10x the price of a mk2 valver even when the valver was new Oh thats right it was all a dream Lol
now the other issue is the germans did'nt and still dont as far as I am aware produce a standard car capabale of more than 155 hence why beemers and mercs are restricted to 155 due to some long term agreement
now of course they can be deristricted but are no longer standard when deristricted

now dont forget I am waiting for some of the real valver owners to pipe up and maybe I'll belive but only maybe as I know even with a 2.0 its not possible
so produce some hard core evidence other than the bloke in the pub with 450bhp out of his 1.3 golf cl and stop makeing yourself look silly young man

That wasn't my point !
Just because the manufacturer said it doesn't go above 155 doesn't mean it wont!!!!!

and Ive had my car at 140 on the clock for a long time!!!!

Most of us don't have GPS speed systems we have what you call a speedo!!!

So when it says 140 thats how fast I'm going!!!
Now i know speedos ain't all ways right but when the bloke in front is driving a nice new Mk4 gti and his speedo says a about 140 what else can i believe

And as we all no VW are all way conservative with  there figures

never trust a speedo to give yo an acurrate reading in my old bm i had the speedo reading 140ish and a mates road angel reading around 115, quite a big difference there.
plus in actual real world terms when do you get to do these speeds? i used to have a bmw which cruises easily at high speeds yet that still rarely got taken over 100.
wouldn't like to attempt such sppeds with my new shoebox aerodynamics lol

well just spoke to midland vw, they reckon for 5 quid that they can shoe horn in the millennium falcon engine, should do 0 to light speed in about .0000000000000001 of a second! will need to get the speedo changed, and a navi computer up grade! i don't want to blink and drive in to bradford
