« on: 10 February 2006, 20:05 »
Hi all

thank you for letting my post on this board.
....I have a 2000 (w) Golf GTI 2.0 ..90000 miles .. lm getting very slow throttle return(when l take my foot off the accelerator the revs hold and then return slow)..   I have looked in the throttle body and the butterfly (what ever you call it) seem to return ok and the cable seems ok..some times it gets so bad l can only do slow gear changes because if l change fast it sounds like lm slipping the clutch.....please help me ...

thanx gavin

Ah yes, just had a look in the Haynes manual and I see that some do still have the cable.

If the throttle body and cable and routing is good, can only be at the pedal itself. Is there a return spring that has come off maybe?
