be aware that Autotrader is useless for distances!!

They calculate it from the edge of your post code and the edge of the trader's post code!! In reality most people are a godd 30-40 miles further apart than what is stated!!

Hello everyone,

My name is Simon, I am 19 and would like to buy one now as i have been drinving two years.
I have been given a good quote of £1400 fully comp under my mum - elephant.co.uk

Anyone know a good cheap insurer?

I have about £5,500 max to spend and want a good condition Black turbo.

Any advise for me? One thing I have noticed is that all the golf's I have been looking at are have high miles?????

Thank you,

Simon

wow £1400!!! thats alot of money for insurance, i had quotes like that when i was looking for a GTi to buy, instead i chose to buy the 2.0 GTi as i refuse to pay over a grand for insurance!
I know people on here slag the 2.0 engine off but i think its great, as its not a turbo its cheaper to insure (insurance group 10) they have a lovely grunt sound to the engine and they are quite nippy, mine is really quick considering the horse power it has, might be an idea to get one of these or one of the TDi's, build your no claims up then sell it and get your turbo
